PIAGGIO is regarded as the 'Italian legend in Vietnam.' On June 24, 2009, the first PIAGGIO factory was inaugurated, and just three months later (October 2), the 10,000th vehicle rolled off the production line. By the 7th month, the 50,000th vehicle was officially produced. Building on this success, in April 2011, Piaggio expanded its manufacturing plant, increasing capacity from 100,000 units to 300,000 units. In July 2011, the factory celebrated the sale of the 100,000th vehicle. In November 2012, another project of PIAGGIO went into operation. Both projects, covering an area of 18 hectares in Binh Xuyen I Industrial Zone, currently employ nearly 1,000 workers. Each year, the company makes significant contributions to the state budget and local social welfare activities.

Simultaneously, it increased the total investment from USD 90 million to USD 165 million; expanded the production scale from 250,000 vehicles per year to 400,000 vehicles per year; increased the scale of engine production and assembly from 300,000 engines to 400,000 engines per year, making the Piaggio Vinh Phuc factory the most significant global facility of the group.
